Frequently Asked Questions
Does my church need any technical setup?
No. If your church uploads sermons to YouTube, you already have everything you need. You simply paste your YouTube channel link into your ChurchSummary dashboard, and our system handles the rest automatically every week.
What if my sermon doesn’t have auto-generated captions on YouTube?
We don't rely solely on YouTube's auto-captions. Our pipeline extracts the highest quality audio available and uses advanced AI transcription models (like Whisper) to generate an accurate transcript before creating the lesson and quiz.
Can congregants take the quiz without creating an account?
Yes. The quiz link is completely public and mobile-friendly. Congregants simply enter their first name and email address at the beginning of the quiz so you can track engagement, but there are no passwords to remember or apps to download.
What happens if we miss a Sunday or skip a week?
Nothing breaks. The system checks your YouTube channel every Tuesday. If there is no new sermon video published since the last check, it simply waits until the next week. You are only billed your flat monthly rate regardless of how many sermons are processed.
How is this different from just posting a sermon recap on social media?
Social media is built for scrolling, not reflection. ChurchSummary creates an interactive feedback loop. Instead of hoping someone reads a caption, you get concrete data on who engaged with the material, how well they understood it, and how they are applying it to their lives through open-ended reflection questions.
